Lonnie Leon Curd

Lonnie “Buzz Saw” Leon Curd, 75, of Bowling Green passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in his daughter’s residence in Greencastle. He was born on October 6, 1942 in Searcy, AR, the son of Joseph D. Curd and Margie Hughes Curd.
Lonnie served his country in the U.S. Army. He later served in the National Guard and The Army Reserves. Lonnie loved to go fishing and hunting. He loved to watch western programs on television, especially those that starred John Wayne and he loved wood working.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents; two infant children; and siblings, Vernon L. Curd, Edna F. Curd, Zorene Modeline, Edward D. Curd, Charles Curd and Joe Curd.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty years, Charlotte Clark Curd; children, Tina Marie Lovett and her husband Paul, Pamela Jean Coons and her husband Douglas, Vickie Lyn Bias and her husband Joseph, Stephanie Shinn and her husband Tom, Thomas W. Dickerson and his wife Ginny; siblings, James Curd, Floyd Curd, Irvin Curd Geraldine Curd and Martha Jo Curd; and several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Avenue, with Bill Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be two hours prior to service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
