Sharon Coleen Harrell, 73, of Cloverdale, passed away on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017 at The Waters of Greencastle.
She was born on Sept. 30, 1944, in Wayne County, Ill., to Beryl W. and Phema Russell.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Joseph Paul Harrell Sr., of Cloverdale; sons, Joseph Paul Harrell Jr. and Jesse Ray Harrell; daughter LaVonne Hauk and husband David; four grandchildren, David W. Hauk II, Jesse M. Hauk, Jacob Harrell and Joey Harrell; three great-grandchildren; siblings Norma (Jim), Joann, Patsy (George), Beryl Jr. (Beverly), Julie, Gregory, Debra and Roger; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother Marjorie Goodman Russell; and siblings Donald, Carl, Barbara, Francheska, Johnny, John and Tonya.
Sharon worked for many years at Canyon Inn in McCormick’s Creek and Holiday Inn and was also self-employed.
She loved to go shopping.
Most of all, Sharon cherished the time she spent with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren always brought her joy.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12 at Soul Harvest Church in Cloverdale.
A funeral ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the church with Pastor Rick Porter officiating.
Sharon will be laid to rest in Cloverdale Cemetery.
