Gun Found Near Fire Victims in Home
Foul play is suspected in the deaths of two people found in a burning Ellettsville home. Investigators say a gun was found near the victims Thursday. Neighbors reported the woman who lived in the home had made comments about harming her 16-year-old son and herself.
Indians Fall To Clippers
Chase d’Arnaud went 3-for-5 with an RBI but the Indians suffered a 9-5 loss to the Clippers yesterday at Victory Field. Blake Davis added three hits while Casey Sadler took the loss after giving up two runs in six innings. The Tribe enters the All-Star break at 53-and-46.
Fever Face Sparks Tomorrow
The Fever welcome the Los Angeles Sparks to Bankers Life Fieldhouse tomorrow night. Indiana sits at 10-and-11 on the season after a loss to the Atlanta Dream on Saturday. The Sparks are 9-and-11 after beating the Connecticut Sun yesterday. Tomorrow’s tip is set for 8:00.
Pacers Continue Pursuit Of Stephenson
The Pacers are continuing attempts to re-sign guard Lance Stephenson. The “Sporting News” reports the Charlotte Hornets and Dallas Mavericks appear to be the biggest contenders to Indiana for Stephenson. The Pacers previously offered him 44-million-dollars over five years.
Fever Sink Sun
Tamika Catchings tallied 21 points and seven rebounds to guide the Fever to a 72-68 home-win over the Sun. Briann January added 13 points for Indiana, which has won four of five to get to 10-and-10. The Fever face the Dream tomorrow.
Indians Sweep Doubleheader
The Indians swept a doubleheader at home against the Columbus Clippers last night. Indianapolis took the first game 1-0. They exploded for 14 runs in a 14-2 win in a makeup from April 14th. The series continues through Sunday.
